NYCOS Release: A Burns Sequence

NYCOS is releasing John Gardner’s setting of eight poems by Robert Burns, featuring the National Youth Choir of Scotland and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.

The album was first recorded and later released in 1998 during the National Youth Choir of Scotland’s third year. In the organisation’s 25th Anniversary year, NYCOS celebrates the forgotten treasure from some of its first choir members for Burns Night.

This is the fifth NYCOS release in nine months following an acclaimed Cantos Sagrados album, Independence Day, St Andrew’s Day and Christmas releases.

The album is available on all major download and streaming platforms such as iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Deezer and Spotify.

The National Youth Choir of Scotland is most impressive, capturing the composer’s obvious affection for the poems he sets.
