Support Us

Trusts and Foundations

Support from charitable trusts and foundations ensures we can deliver a range of projects across Scotland. From providing financial assistance to disadvantaged young singers wishing to join a choir, to enabling the Chamber Choir to perform at the highest level, we could not offer such exceptional experiences to children and young people without this support.

Research has found that singing during early child development supports speech, language and cognitive skills. As well as building music and choral skills, participants tell us that joining a NYCOS choir boosts their self-confidence and gives them a sense of belonging. Our choirs perform at the highest level, delighting audiences across Scotland and internationally.

Our charitable objectives are:

  • to establish, encourage, enhance and support choral singing and musicianship at all levels to the highest standards for Scotland’s young people;
  • to educate and provide training, support and resources for those engaged in the direction of choral singing and music education;
  • to promote singing and musicianship at all levels of cultural and educational life in Scotland and elsewhere.

Thank you to every charitable trust and foundation that chooses to invest in Scotland’s young singers by supporting NYCOS.
