Chris Andrews

Chris Andrews graduated in music from the University of Cardiff in 2008 with first-class honours. He returned to complete a master’s degree in piano performance with distinction in 2010. As a pianist, he performed a range of concerts and concertos with orchestras and choirs around the capital including Cardiff Symphony Chorus, Cardiff Philharmonic Orchestra and Cardiff Bach Choir. He also accompanied theatre schools and workshops for the Welsh National Opera. After completing a PGCE at the University of Buckingham, he was appointed Director of Performing Arts at St. John’s-on-the-Hill School in Chepstow (now Dean Close), running the department for 6 years.

Chris currently lives in Surrey and is a passionate advocate and practitioner of Kodály-inspired learning running musicianship classes for NYCOS and the BKA. He works as Director of Music at Feltonfleet Preparatory School, leading a Kodály curriculum for 500 children, aged 3 to 13.
