The National Boys Choir – Free Experience Day offers boys the opportunity to experience the musical standards, working environment, and rehearsal approach of NYCOS National Choirs within the setting of our Gartmore residential course.

Participants will take part in structured rehearsals led by experienced NYCOS staff, learning three short pieces, including an action song. The day provides a supportive and encouraging setting in which boys can engage with high-quality choral training.

This Free Experience Day provides an additional pathway for boys who may not yet be ready to apply for a residential course or whose voices are changing. It also allows families to gain a clear insight into the artistic standards, atmosphere, and support that underpin NYCOS National Choirs.

Following the day, participants may be invited to explore further singing opportunities with the National Boys Choir or NYCOS regional choirs, which meet several times throughout the year and support singers in developing their choral skills.
