Regional Choirs – Gold Tests

The Go for Bronze, Go for Silver and Go for Gold musicianship programme, created by Lucinda Geoghegan, offers a carefully structured and progressive pathway in musical development through the Kodály method. Grounded in singing, solfa, rhythm syllables, inner hearing and secure music literacy, the programme nurtures confident, independent musicians through a clear sequence of achievement.

Regional Choir members progressing to Gold Musicianship have successfully completed both Bronze and Silver levels and are now reaching the culmination of this core training pathway. Gold reflects a high level of competence in both written and aural musicianship, with a standard equivalent to ABRSM Grade 5 Theory, and represents a significant milestone in musical development.
