East Lothian Sing & Play Days for P3-7
The National Youth Choir of Scotland’s (NYCOS) Singing Groups Project is returning in 2026 with a new format!
This year, we are changing the way we run the Singing Groups. Instead of weekly sessions, we will run three ‘Sing & Play’ days and a full weekend of fun including two performances! Sessions are open to young people in P3-P7 and are FREE to attend.
Led by NYCOS Directors and Assistant Directors, our Sing & Play Days help young people develop their singing and musicianship skills in a safe and engaging environment, whilst making friends, building teamwork and motor skills, and increasing self-confidence.
Singing has been shown to positively affect mental health and well-being, often contributing to higher achievement in other academic subjects.
How much does it cost to take part?
The Sing & Play Days and Weekend are FREE!
Who are the Sing & Play Days for?
They are offered to all East Lothian Primary 3 – Primary 7 school pupils.
How many Sing & Play Days can my child attend?
If availability allows, then all of them! The booking form will allow you to select your first, second and third choice of the standalone Sing & Play Days, as well as letting us know whether the young singer will be attending the Sing & Play Weekend, including if they will be performing in the concerts. After all spaces have been allocated for first choice of Sing & Play Days, second and third choice spaces will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.
*To perform in the concerts, singers must attend ONE Sing & Play Day PLUS the Haddington weekend.*
