NYCOS National Girls Choir celebrates music from women composers. The programme features An English Daybook – an edgy and colourful work by English composer Elizabeth Poston – and commissions from Claire McCue and Dale Trumbore, favourite composers of the choir members.
The choir will present works by living composers including Amy Bebbington, Hilary Campbell, Gemma McGregor and Joanna Forbes L’Estrange, and unpublished works by historical composers including Morfydd Owen from the upcoming Volumte 2 – Upper Voices Anthems by Multitude of Voyces supported by NYCOS.
Chosen from Scotland’s best young female singing talent led by world-renowned conductor Christopher Bell, the choir demonstrates a freshness of voice and unrivalled diction that receives consistent praise.
“crystal clear diction, ringing purity of tone, and that essential ethereal sheen.”
