The NYCOS musicianship programme is based on Kodály method and used in all our regional choirs, in schools across the UK and beyond. A series of structured progressive lessons and games lead the young person from Bronze level to the Gold award which is recognised as the equivalent of ABRSM Grade 5 Theory.
Delivered by NYCOS Education Director Lucinda Geoghegan, our training series provides guidance for adults teaching musicianship skills to young singers in schools, choirs and other settings.
This day’s training is aimed at those who are already following the NYCOS Go for Bronze musicianship programme, and will introduce new games and concepts, based on diatonic pitches. It will be a hands on, activity packed day, sure to give you lots of ideas to take away and use.
Comments from previous training:
“I feel much more confident raising awareness to other staff and developing the whole school music programme”
“I always feel so excited and full of new ideas after NYCOS training days!”
