Caroline Calvo studied Musicianship and Musicology at the University of La Sorbonne in Paris where she obtained a Bachelor degree.
She studied at the Conservatoire of Saint-Germain-en-Laye where she obtained a Musicianship Gold Medal and a “Prix de Perfectionnement” in lyrical singing.
In 1999, she was recruited to teach music to children aged from six to eleven in state schools in Paris.
From 2012 to 2019, she played in several musical theatre productions in Paris.
As she desperately wanted to become a vocal technique teacher, she very luckily met Allan Wright and attended all levels of his classes until she became a certified “Technique du Chanteur Moderne” teacher.
It is during her training with Allan that she discovered the Kodály approach. She is currently attending the British Kodály Academy Certificate Secondary course.
She now teaches vocal technique and is in charge of a choir of children aged nine to eleven at the Maîtrise Populaire de l’Opéra-Comique. She also teaches vocal technique and Musicianship to adults.
