Geoghegan - Kodály education consultnat
Lucinda Geoghegan graduated in Music from Edinburgh University in 1982 and became a fully qualified Kodály educator in 1997. She worked as a secondary music teacher before deciding to specialise in primary music education. Lucinda taught for 10 years as a visiting music specialist in West Lothian. She is currently a freelance musician and a regular member of staff with the British Kodály Academy and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra Junior Chorus. In September 2003, she also became a member of staff in the Junior Department of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow, teaching theory and musicianship. She was the Director of the NYCoS West Lothian Choirs from 1998 – 2006. Her work with the National Youth Choir of Scotland increasingly includes Staff Development across Britain, presenting workshops on Kodály – particularly Music in Early Years.
She is author of and Singing Games and Rhymes for Tiny Tots, Singing Games and Rhymes for Early Years and Singing Games and Rhymes for Middle Years. In 2003, with Christopher Bell, she wrote Go for Bronze Level One,
Go for Bronze Level 2, Go for Silver and Go for Gold will be published in 2007.
