Biography
Fiona McIntosh is Principal Teacher of Music at Grove Academy and has been associated with the choral tradition from an early age. She had the good fortune to attend Harris Academy where PT Music, Donald Stuart introduced pupils to many substantial choral works. One highlight was a performance of Verdi's Requiem. Whilst at school she sang with Dundee Choral Union and Tayside Opera.

In her post of acting music adviser in Tayside 1994-1996 she established both a junior and senior schools choir the highlight of which was a performance of Carmina Burana by Carl Orff. She has worked with amateur operatic societies and choirs in Dundee as well as school choirs and directed many school musical productions.

Recognising the many benefits gained through singing, Fiona is delighted to be part of NYCoS. Charged with the responsibility to encourage and promote good singing technique and re-establish a tradition of reading skills she sees the next few years as an exciting challenge.
