25th abcd Annual Convention 
27th - 29th August
University of Stirling

The National Youth Choir of Scotland has partnered with the Association of British Choral Directors (abcd) to bring the 25th abcd Annual Convention to Scotland for the first time. A highlight will be a Gala Concert in Dunblane Cathedral on Saturday 28th August featuring the Dunedin Consort, Finnish ensemble the Oulainen Youth Choir and, fresh from their tour to Germany, the National Youth Choir of Scotland. Workshops will include:

    •    The changing voice - Christopher Bell
    •    Vocal health technique - Edward Caswell
    •    My requiem - Bob Chilcott
    •    Planets, paintings and baboons - Tom Cunningham
    •    Singing games and rhymes for middle years Lucinda Geoghegan
    •    The entrepreneurial conductor - Jonathan Griffith
    •    The age-defying voice - Wilma MacDougall
    •    Conduct the music, not the beat - Mandy Miller
