Kodály Summer School is open to class teachers, instrumental teachers, students, nursery practitioners, freelance musicians and anyone interested in music education. From a comprehensive choice of sessions, our established team of internationally renowned presenters provide tailored training and the latest insights for early to advanced stages of classroom, group and instrumental teaching.
At Kodály Summer School delegates from across the globe have the opportunity to sing, learn, and network with colleagues over a comprehensive choice of community classes, group lessons, individual sessions and fun inspiring evening activities. We look forward to greeting familiar faces and newcomers, keen to find out more about the Kodály approach to music education.

Accommodation
We are looking forward to hosting our Summer School at George Watson’s College in the heart of Edinburgh. Our accommodation will be offsite at Heriot Watt University Edinburgh Campus, Edinburgh, Scotland, EH14 4AS. Daily transfers to/ from George Watson’s are included in your residential fee.
Registration Fees
Residential delegate fees include course workshops, single en-suite accommodation, all meals, and transfers to/ from George Watson’s College.
Day delegate fees include course workshops, daily lunch and dinner and refreshments.

Paying by instalments
There is an instalments option available for those who would like to pay by instalments. The £100 deposit paid at checkout is non-refundable. If you would like to take the course for full certification, £75 will also be added to your fee at checkout but is refundable.
Who can attend?
If you are a primary teacher, class music teacher, instrumental teacher, nursery practitioner or freelance musician our Kodály Summer School offers you the unique opportunity to develop your practice in a supportive and engaging environment.
However, anyone is welcome to attend! If you love singing and want to learn more about the Kodály approach, we have lots of exciting sessions for you. Take a look at our course pathways to find out more.
Course Pathways
We are offering participants the choice to follow a variety of different course pathways, depending on their aims and interest.
Certified Courses
This year we are offering the exciting opportunity to complete methodology in Early Years Level 2 / Early Years 3/ Primary 1 and Secondary Level 1 for certification towards the British Kodály Certificate.

Evening Events
We love spending time with delegates from across the globe each year at the annual Kodály Summer School. This year is no different and we’re excited to offer a range of evening events including our much loved evening ceilidh and performances from Richard Michael and Hannah Rarity,
Evening events are included in the price of your registration fee unless otherwise stated. Our evening concert series is also open to the public and booking will be open soon.
